I initially had a mentorship session with Loay, where I asked about tips and recommendations on transitioning to a career in UX design. He additionally offered to take a look at my portfolio and even a couple of the design tasks I had completed during the interview process. I then received detailed feedback and valuable advice on how to improve, areas to focus on and reading and studying recommendations. We also discussed various interview techniques, and he gave me pointers on how to practise and improve. He has been brilliant in his ongoing support and a weekly round-up of community picks and learning resources. I am incredibly grateful for all his time, help and advice.
I came in with general questions on product management and how to develop into this role. Loay took the time to really try and understand and break down the pillars I have to focus on. He offered me to review some practice-work on roadmapping. Thanks a lot! It really helps having guidance like this, firstly to improve skills, but more importantly to know the general route you're following is in line with your goals.
I really liked his kindness, Insighful feedbacks about how I can improve my portfolio and Resume. Give me actionable outcomes to improve them!
Loay points out important information from my portfolio website and provides suggestions to improve user experience for viewers to get attraction when they see my portfolio.
